Welcome Solid Rock of Elwood, Indiana

Full Gospel Assemblies welcomes Solid Rock Full Gospel Ministries of Elwood, Indiana. The Rev. Larry Metz pastors Solid Rock. The congregation serves approximately 40 adults and 10 children and meets for worship on Sunday mornings and evenings. The church also offers midweek Bible study and fellowship. Other ministries include prison and community outreach. In addition to leading the congregation, Pastor Larry writes a weekly article for the local newspaper entitled, “Keys To Abundant Life”.

From November 2008 to January 2009, the newly formed church began to meet at the local YMCA. In December of 2008, the church approached a company about renting space in a retail establishment that was being remodeled. The negotiations were favorable and the church now rents 1,300 square feet of meeting space, which includes two 8 x 10 classrooms.

With worship services beginning in the new location at the turn of 2009, the congregation was very excited, believing God for great things in the future! Other churches as well as individuals outside of Solid Rock have donated many items to this new ministry including folding chairs, tables, an overhead projector, a copier, carpet, labor for set up and donations for supplies and various needs. The pulpit and altar were built by a member of the congregation. Thank God for all His wonderful provisions!

The vision of Solid Rock Full Gospel Ministries is to minister to both the spiritual and physical needs of those of the Elwood area.

The name, Solid Rock Full Gospel Ministries, was chosen to acknowledge Christ as the foundation of the church! A full gospel message is preached and Christ is exalted in all ministry of the church.
