October 6, 7, & 8, 2010

In hopes to offer a greater degree of accessibility to our ministers, pastors, and congregations, our annual national conference held in Pennsylvania will be moved from the month of June to October. All activities will be held at the Willow Valley Resort, Oct. 6, 7, and 8, in wonderful Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The South Eastern Ministers Summit, held January 22nd and 23rd, kicked off Haiti mission ministry receiving $615.00 in offering and pledges.

Within the South Eastern Region Summit, we kicked off the Full Gospel Assemblies mission assistance to the country of Haiti. Full Gospel Assemblies missionary, Pastor William Spriggs of Washington, PA has regularly been leading ministry to this country for the past 4 years. Pastor Spriggs has been serving there with the LaCroix Haiti New Testament Mission (full information attached) in both congregational and children¹s educational ministry. The LaCroix Mission will be the recipient of the Full Gospel Assemblies Haiti relief mission drive set for February 7th and 14th.

Each FGA congregation is requested to receive a minimum of one special mission offering for this cause. Each minister and pastor is requested to include a designated Haiti mission offering with their regular tithe and offering giving for the month of February. Let us join together and bless those of this country who stand in need. May God bless our giving in this hour.

Dear Pastors and Ministers of the Church,

Blessed greetings to you today in the name of Christ our Savior. Today I recall the word of the Lord as recorded in Psalm 77. Here we are reminded “Thy way, O God, is holy; there is none so great as our God. Thou are the God that doest wonders; thou has declared thy strength among the people.” Today we thank God for His mercy upon his children. We praise God for His salvation His holiness and His greatness! As we again come to a close of another year, let us look to God with praises as we stand in His presence.

With 2009 now behind us, it is a time to believe God for new beginnings with new opportunities to bring glory to His name. Our most high God, has been our helper and our Savior and by His grace we have accomplished His task before us.

Full Gospel Assemblies welcomes Solid Rock Full Gospel Ministries of Elwood, Indiana. The Rev. Larry Metz pastors Solid Rock. The congregation serves approximately 40 adults and 10 children and meets for worship on Sunday mornings and evenings. The church also offers midweek Bible study and fellowship. Other ministries include prison and community outreach. In addition to leading the congregation, Pastor Larry writes a weekly article for the local newspaper entitled, “Keys To Abundant Life”.

From November 2008 to January 2009, the newly formed church began to meet at the local YMCA. In December of 2008, the church approached a company about renting space in a retail establishment that was being remodeled. The negotiations were favorable and the church now rents 1,300 square feet of meeting space, which includes two 8 x 10 classrooms.

With worship services beginning in the new location at the turn of 2009, the congregation was very excited, believing God for great things in the future! Other churches as well as individuals outside of Solid Rock have donated many items to this new ministry including folding chairs, tables, an overhead projector, a copier, carpet, labor for set up and donations for supplies and various needs. The pulpit and altar were built by a member of the congregation. Thank God for all His wonderful provisions!

The vision of Solid Rock Full Gospel Ministries is to minister to both the spiritual and physical needs of those of the Elwood area.

The name, Solid Rock Full Gospel Ministries, was chosen to acknowledge Christ as the foundation of the church! A full gospel message is preached and Christ is exalted in all ministry of the church.

Pray today that Solid Rock Full Gospel Ministries may realize God’s full plan and purpose. We warmly welcome this new congregation into the church fellowship of Full Gospel Assemblies!

With the culmination of the April 2009 Philippine Ministry Leaders Summit, Full Gospel Assemblies – Philippines has been birthed as an alliance of Full Gospel churches.

Over the past 30 years the Full Gospel Assemblies have been active in education, church building and short mission ministry throughout the Philippines. Since 2006, mission activities from the USA to the Philippines have increased to include annual youth convention leadership, ministers, pastors and family conferences, and church building.

Today the vision has expanded to bring together church fellowships and congregations throughout the country that Full Gospel Assemblies has had opportunity to join in ministry with. For the 2009 Ministry Leaders Summit, FGA Chairman, Pastor Simeon Strauser and representative Pastor Raymond Favichia were joined by church leadership, pastors, and students of the islands of Negros Occidental, Luzon, and Mindanao.

With an eye for cooperative ministry such as outreach networking, education development, pastoral mentoring and a host of national and international ministry opportunity, the new vision for the launch of Full Gospel Assemblies - Philippines was welcomed.

The following leadership have dedicated their efforts together. Pastors Ronnie Binas and Fred Cal of Lift Jesus Higher Ministries (Negros Occidental), Pastor Benjamin Alud of Share Christian Outreach (Mindanao), Pastors Simeon Strauser and Raymond Favichia (FGA-USA) as well as Bishop Paul Baguitay of Philippine Bethel Church (Luzon) and Pastor Edward Popovich (FGA-USA). All coming together to see a land touched by Jesus Christ!

On February 27th, Bill, Joe, Alan and Don embarked on the journey to join the builders in the Philippines to build this house of worship. These are photographs of this project's beginning stages. Our team will remain with the project through March 13th. Please keep this project in your prayers. View photos of the recent progress.

Following the 2007 District convention for the FGA affiliate Philippine Bethel congregations of the Quirino Province, Pastor Ramon & Juliet Badong provided a visit to the Sto Nino village for Pastor Simeon Strauser, Pastor Raymond Favichia and team. It was then that the Lord laid upon our heart the plight of this congregation. This mission has become the central focus of the Full Gospel – Philippine efforts for 2008-2009.

Under the pastoral leadership of the Badongs, this church has come from its birth in January 2000 to present, meeting in the lean-to structure adjacent to the Badong family residence. The vision for this faithful congregation of 50+ men, women and children is to reach the unchurched with the gospel. Regular ministry to this remote village includes Sunday services, women and teen groups, DVBS, men’s ministry and village health services. Full Gospel Assembly of Parkesburg and Heaven’s Gate Christian Fellowship have come together in organizing a team of 4 to lead the initial construction efforts the first week of March 2009. Bill, Joe, Alan and Don will travel to Madella, where they will link with local volunteers of Philippine Bethel and the community of Sto Nino.

We give praise and honor to our Lord God, from whom all blessings flow! We stand on His promises as we celebrate the vision of reaching a lost and hurting world with the love of Christ.

There is a mighty revival stirring in the midst of God’s people today. From the west to the east, from the north to the south, we are realizing the mighty hand of God upon the Church.

With the world body of Full Gospel Assemblies multiplying and extending throughout new lands, thousands are coming to Christ!

In the revival that is being experienced, we bow before our God. As pastors, evangelists and church leadership, let it be your prayer, O’ God, by the work of your Spirit, cause me to know the way wherin I should walk; may I be thy faithful servant, for In Thee do I trust.
